Blackhawks Lacrosse Club (formerly Crystal Lake Youth Lacrosse AKA the Crystal Lake Hawks) is proud to continue offering community lacrosse to Crystal Lake and the surrounding area!

Our boys teams participate in the IYLL (Illinois Youth Lacrosse League).  

Registration will be open from November 1 to February 1.  

Boys AGE Requirements and Divisions
 

For our full spring season players must be between grades 1-8.  

Age Level breakdown as follows:

14U - 7th and 8th Grades

12U - 5th and 6th Grades

10U - 3rd and 4th Grades

8U - 1st and 2nd Grades

To comply with league rules, the Blackhawks will have Black and Red divisions at grade levels where we have multiple teams participating.    

Pre-Season Indoor Practice

Our Pre-Season Indoor Practices generally begin in late February/early March and are an important way for coaches to evaluate players for team placement.  Participation is strongly encouraged.  

Season Practice Schedule

Outdoor practices will begin in mid to late March (weather permitting).  Our home field location will be at Lippold Park in Crystal Lake.  We also have a second practice location in Lake in the Hills, Richard Taylor Park.  

There will generally be 2 scheduled practices for each team during the week.  The days of the week will be determined by the coaches and the Blackhawks board to maximize field space and time for each team.  Additional practices may be scheduled at the discretion of the Head Coach.

Season Game Schedule

The IYLL plans mini-tournament style game weekends, where all teams from an organization play in one location on the same weekend.  There are generally 4-5 game weekends throughout the season at various locations, including Lippold Park.  Each team will play on either Saturday or Sunday but not both days of the weekend; however, not all Blackhawks teams may play on the same day.  Teams will generally play 2-3 games each weekend, for a total of 10-12 games over the course of the season.  

Fees for 2022 Spring Season

All age levels: $400.  A $25 late fee will be charged for each registration paid after 2/15/2022.  

US Lacrosse Membership is required for all players.  This membership is $30/year.

We do offer a discount for families with multiple kids playing lacrosse.

If you are in financial need, scholarships are given at the discretion of the Board of Directors.  Requests must be submitted before close of registration to be considered.  

Included in these fees are:

• Indoor Pre-season Practices
• Outdoor regular season practices ~ 20 sessions
• Regular Season Games  ~ 4 game weekends, 2-3 games per weekend
• Athletic Trainer at all games
• Uniform consisting of a jersey and shorts
